| Sir/Madam, |
| The complaint/intimation dated 28/07/2021, was placed before the Commission on 15/09/2021. Upon perusing the same, the Commission directed as follows: |
| The complainant, a Human Rights Defender, has requested the Commission to take appropriate action in a matter reported in media about a man alleging that his wife was murdered by her in-laws by cutting her neck with an axe. He further alleged that although his parents killed his wife in a preplanned way, yet Police had made it a case of killing out of sudden provocation. The Police seems to have registered an FIR, arrested the accused and proceeded with investigation in the matter. Let the local Supdt. of Police, be asked to submit a detailed action taken report on the incident within 6 weeks, |
| 2. Accordingly, I am forwarding herewith a copy of the complaint/intimation as an attachment for taking appropriate action in the matter as per the directions of the Commission. It is requested that an Action Taken Report be sent to the Commission within 6 weeks from the date of receipt of this letter. |
