Dear Sir,

I want to bring in your kind attention towards the complaint sent by Dr. Lenin Raghuvanshi, Founder and CEO of Peoples’ Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR) on 11^th June, 2018.   The brothers (Ajay- 26 years and Vinod 20 years) of Ms. Sheela Vanwasi are in Jansa police station from 8^th June, 2018 for the interrogation in the death of 4 years of Ashish.  Police beat her brother a lot, the whole body is swell and blood clotting at many places.  In place of interrogation police is torturing them. This is clear case of violation Judgment of Honourable Supreme Court in case of DK Basu versus Government of West Bengal

Ms. Sheela Vanwasi w/o Mohan Vanwasi is resident of Danupur Bitkuri under Jansa police station of Varanasi. The marriage of Sheela sister in law was on 7^th June, 2018 and in that marriage her two brothers (Ajay- 26 years and Vinod 20 years) were also invited.  

When the barat came in the night, Sheels’s son Ashish (4 years old) was sitting in her lap, he descended from the lap and went to see
the DJ band and there were many other children too. After a while, when her child was not seen in the crowd, they began to look after
 the child. Because few days before her sister in law (husband younger sister) Manju had threatened that she would create hurdle in
 the marriage and you will remember it for life long. With this fear Sheela started searching for her child.

 

Sheela and her husband went to the Jansa police station on the same night and also called on police helpline number. Sheela and her family searched the child whole night. Next day morning around 10 am the body of the child was found in the open ground. Sheela’s brother Vinod and Ajay also went to the police station with the deseased body. Police stopped Vinod for the interrogation, when Sheela asked why you are stopping him. The police said don’t be afraid we will leave him after interrogation. Her second brother Ajay returned back to home with them.  After returning he went to the market to buy medicine from the way police picked him up.  My both brothers are in police custody along with their bike. Vinod bike Hero Splender U.P 65 CS5613 and Ajay Kumar TVS sports CK 9612.

Whenever Sheela asked the police why they caught her brothers, they got the same answer and would leave after the interrogation. 
Sheela said why would my brother do such a thing that he came for his sister's support? He has fed my son child in his lap. We have lost his life, we are very sad because the police has caught my brother and is troubling us.

 

Therefore it is a kind request please immediately intervenes in this matter.
