Subject: Additional Information Called for(AIC) -28307/24/72/2021.
 
Sir/Madam,
 
         I am directed to say that the matter was considered by the Commission on 13/12/2021 and the Commission has directed as follows.:
 
 
         The present matter pertains to alleged exploitation and murder etc. of brick kiln workers on demand of their due payments.

Vide proceedings dated 04.10.2021 this Commission took cognizance and has observed/directed as under:-

“Instant complaint from a Human Rights Defender   relates to allegations of denial of payment/ legtimate dues to labourers of   named brick kiln factory located in   District-Jaunpur (UP) and murder of one of the labourer   and grevious injuries to others, on 10-6-2021,   by the owners of that unit   when   a demand for   payment of dues was taken up with the owner and thus is seeking intervention of the Commission in the matter.

The Commission directs its Registry to transmit the copy of complaint to the concerned authority calling for an action taken report within four weeks.

The concerned authorities shall also intimate the Commission, if any, notice, order etc., has been received by him/them in the instant matter from the State Human Rights Commission? If yes, a copy of such order be also sent to the Commission within four weeks.

Let a copy of the complaint be also transmitted to the Secretary of the concerned State Human Rights Commission, calling upon him to inform this Commission the date of cognizance, if any, taken at their end in the instant matter within four weeks.”

No report is received.  Registry is directed to issue fresh reminder to District Magistrate, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh as well as Superintendent of Police, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh to submit the requisite report within six weeks positively failing which this Commission will be constrained to invoke its coercive powers u/s 13 of PHR Act. 1993.
 
 
2.          It is therefore, requested that the additional/complete report as directed by the Commission in the matter be sent latest by 03/02/2022, for futher consideration by the Commission.
 
3.      Any communication by public authorities in this matter may please be sent to the Commission through the HRCNet Portal (https://hrcnet.nic.in) by using id and password already provided to the public authorities (click Authority Login), or through Speed Post/ at email-id cr.nhrc@nic.inAny Audio/ Video CDs/ pen drives etc. and bulky reports may be sent through Speed Post/ per bearer.
