The news item published titled "Toxic drain Chokes Residents" is a case of serious human rights violation. This not only harms the right to health of the residents of the residents but also violates the guiding principle of the responsibility of the state to provide well being as defined by the WHO.

May I request NHRC to make urgent intervention in this case and give necessary direction to the state for initiating immediate action to cover this drain as well as other open drains in Dwark, Delhi.

 With regards,

Dr. Mohanlal Panda
