Sir/Madam,

The complaint dated 23/05/2020, was placed before the Commission on 05/06/2020. Upon perusing the complaint, the Commission directed as follows:

The complainant has alleged that as per news report of 'Hindustan', dated 23/05/2020, a man was beaten to death by the accused persons in Mirzapur, UP on the pretext that his uncle was performing paranormal activities. The complainant is seeking Commission's intervention for payment of compensation and investigation into the matter. Transmit a copy of the complaint to the SSP, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh calling for a report in the matter within six weeks.

2.         Accordingly, I am forwarding herewith a copy of the complaint as an attachment for taking appropriate action in the matter as per the directions of the Commission. It is requested that an Action Taken Report be sent to the Commission within 6 weeks from the date of receipt of this letter.
