उत्तर-प्रदेश के अलीगढ़ जिले में बिजली विभाग की लापरवाही से 10 वर्षीय बालक की करेंट लगाने से मौत के सम्बन्ध में |

The matter relates to death of a boy (aged 10 years) due to electrocution on 31.07.2016, due to negligence on the part of Electricity Department of Government of Uttar Pradesh. The Commission had issued a Show Cause Notice as to why an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- should not be paid to the next of kin of the deceased for violation of his human rights. In response, Deputy General Manager, U.P. Power Corporation Limited, Shakti Bhavan (Vistar), 14, Ashok Marg, Lucknow, Managing Director, Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, Energy Bhavan, Agra and City Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Aligarh vide communications dated 28.03.2019, 27.03.2019 and 28.03.2019, respectively, have submitted reports. Perusal of these reports reveals that the monetary compensation, an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- as recommended by the Commission has been paid to Shri Vasid Ali, father of the deceased Shahnawaj in this case vide cheque dated 26.03.2019 dated 28.03.2019. Proof of payment has also been attached with above report. The Commission considered the matter and observed that since an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- has already been paid by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited to the father of the deceased, no further action, on the part of the Commission, is called for. The reports received from the State authorities are taken on record and the case is closed.

महोदय,

अलीगढ़ जिले के क्वार्सी क्षेत्र के जीवनगढ़ गली आठ निवासी वाशिद अली का दस वर्षीय बेटा शाहनवाज कक्षा दो का छात्र था। गली नंबर सात में उसका स्कूल है। रोजाना की भांति वह बुधवार की सुबह स्कूल जा रहा था। गली में बारिश के चलते पानी भर गया था | विद्युत पोल से पानी में करंट दौड़ रहा था। इस बात से अंजान बच्चा पानी में होकर गुजरने लगा । तभी करंट ने उसे चपेट में ले लिया। बच्चे की चीख सुनकर घरों से निकले लोगों ने उसे बाहर निकाला और मेडिकल कालेज ले गए। लेकिन यहां बच्चे को मृत घोषित कर दिया गया ।

अतः आपसे विनम्र निवेदन है कि कृपया इस मामले को संज्ञान में लेते हुए बिजली विभाग द्वारा लापरवाही बरतने ले लिए जिम्मेदार अधिकारियों कर्मचारियों के विरुद्ध कानूनी कार्यवाही का आदेश दे साथ ही मृतक बच्चे के परिजनों को मुआवजा दिलाने की कृपा करे |
