IMPHAL, Jul 8 : A woman who went fishing with a net in Itam river near Yourabung under Lamlai police station in Imphal East district has been found drowned.
Khomdram (O) Chaibi Devi (55) of Yourabung Khongnang Leirak went for fishing to Itam river which is about one kilometre away from her home at about 4 pm yesterday.
As she fell into the river and disappeared, the local people searched exhaustively for Chaibi in the area.
She was found drowned in a nearby spot at about midnight.
Sir, on behalf of PVCHR, I request you to look into the matter and direct the state to provide financial support.
