Greetings from PVCHR.
Please refer to the attached news report published in The Statesman, Date: 12.07.2011. The report mentions about killing of a minor girl by the police in Chhatisgarh. Police says the girl was a Maoist and killed in a fierce encounter which the villagers say has never taken place.
Sir, this is a case of serious human rights violation. On behalf of PVCHR, I request you to look into the matter and whether the NHRC guideline on extra judicial killing was complied or not.
