5 workers killed in mishap at construction site in Bangalore
Bangalore: Five workers died and another was seriously injured when a heavy electric motor they were trying to fix atop an under-construction multi-storey residential apartment came crashing down, police said.
The motor came crashing down from a height of about 120 ft, Bangalore City Police Commissioner Jyoti Prakash Mirji said.
The entire platform erected for the installation of the motor also collapsed, he said.
Four victims are from Punjab and another from Orissa, he added.
The promoters of the multiple apartment project were not found at the site, Mirji said, adding a case has been registered.
Sir, on behalf of PVCHR, I request you to look into the matter and take necessary action.
With regards,
Dr. Mohanlal Panda
