Sir,
Greetings from PVCHR.

Now farmers cry foul over Khuga dam
Lamka, Jul 1: Adding more salt to wounds, a farmers' committee from the area located along the Khuga Dam's canal today made a disturbing yet crucial remark of protest against the Government for failing to provide them sufficient water despite the inauguration of the multi-crore dam.
The so called Khuga multipurpose project is meant to deliver three crucial components, namely – irrigation, power and drinking water, said a statement issued by the Churachandpur District Khuga Farmers Development Committee.
But despite the inauguration of the dam and the assurance given by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi when she inaugurated it in early part of the year, the farmers in the area continue to reel under scarcity of water during the farming season, it lamented. This is one serious case of set-back for the State and the district of Churachandpur in particular, added the statement signed by one T Jammang.
Sir, on behalf of PVCHR, I request you to look into the matter and take necessary action.
With regards,
Dr. Mohanlal Panda
