Man stabbed for protesting against eve-teasing
Kolkata: A man was stabbed and injured when he protested against a young girl being teased by some men at Nibra in Howrah district on Wednesday night.
The police said the man, identified as Maniram, was rushed to Howrah General Hospital with injuries on the neck and face.
Maniram protested when the girl, on her way back from tution, was being teased by four men. He was threatened and stabbed.
A mob then caught two of the men after giving them a chase and beat them up before handing them over to the police.
The arrested duo, Hasan Gazi and Nazib Ali, were taken to Howrah General Hospital in an injured state.
