To,
Chairperson,
NHRC,
New Delhi.

Sir,

Greetings from PVCHR.

"About two months ago, my uncle Sarju along with Nattha and Kailash Sagar, forceably took me to Lakhimpur and chained my hand and feet," Anuvab said.

"The weight of the iron chain was so much that I was not able to move around in the small room" he added.

He also said that he was given bare minimum food to just to keep him alive.

The report says that the 12 years old boy was kidnapped and shakeled by his relatives and confined to a room. The relative allegedly wanted to grab the land Anubhav has inherited after the death of his parents.

"I was shocked to see the condition of the boy. It is inhuman act and the police have been directed to lodge an FIR against the three accused," city magistrate B.L.Saroj said.

May I request NHRC to look into the matter and take action against the relative for kidnapping the child and violating all his rights and torturing him. The state should secure the life of the child in future and provide all possible help to his present guardian so that he leads a normal life.

Copy of the media report is attached.

With regards,
Dr. Mohanlal Panda
