To,
Chairperson,
NHRC,
New Delhi.

Sir,

Greetings from PVCHR.

Ms Bishan Devi, 82 years old women who lives in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi has confined herself to her room for the past 13 years. She alleges that one of her sons, in collusion with the neighbors and the Delhi police wants to kill her and grab her property.

"I am scared of the Delhi Police. Time and again I have asked for security. But the police themselves have been harassing me," alleges Bishan Devi.

She, according to the attached media report has forwarded several complaints to the Prime Minister's Office, the National Human Rights Commission and the National Commission for Women.

People have forcibly entered into her house, burnt a part of it, injuring her seriously. Her dogs have been poisoned.

Sir, I request you to look into the matter. The elderly Bishan Devi, whose house was often visited by Late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru is living a fearful life. She deserves a life of dignity like any other citizens of the country. The nexus between the perpetrators and Delhi police must be investigated. The victims must be provided with security as she fears for her life.

Your intervention would bring lots of hope among the elderly population of the metropolis who are increasingly becoming victims of property related crimes.
It is sad that her previous complaints have not received attention from the commission.

Sir, please find the newspaper information attached for your perusal.

With regards,
Dr. Mohanlal Panda
